technical tasks:
- optimization of tooling costs by sourcing tools in asia for zkw group
- sourcing and development of new suppliers in asia
- coordination of ve activities/projects with asian toolmakers
- support development of design standards to reduce variants/costs
- development/training of tool shops to make technical and organizational improvements
- cost calculation of tools/molds (tooling cost structure analysis) available for benchmarking
- negotiation of prices and contracts with suppliers
- tool shop market continuous research and overview
- continuous benchmark follow-up for tooling activities
- work independently with regular interaction through web or phone with personal in hq
- develop the tooling expertise with selected asia tooling partners and perform quotations, contract negotiation, drawing reviews, and project management throughout the tool built cycle.
- develop cost saving ideas in the tool procurement process.
functional qualifications：
- 3-5 years practical experience in plastic injection tooling purchasing
- bachelor degree or above in engineering, tooling, business or similar discipline with related
- tooling: design cost awareness as well as technical know how
- part design: design cost awareness and raw material know how
- part processing: process know how
- supplier sourcing & supplier development knowledge.
- project experience in automotive.
- several years of experience in purchasing; knowledge of modern purchasing tools.
- automotive experience with supplier development, quality procedures (apqp, ppap etc.)
- relevant experience in production processes.
- knowledge of erp systems
